The Yangzhou Slender West Lake Tunnel has a total length of 3.6 kilometers and is designed as a single tube, double layered, two-way four lane tunnel. The main shield section of the tunnel is constructed using a 14.93 meter world ultra large diameter slurry water balance shield machine, which needs to pass through a full section hard plastic clay layer of over 1200 meters. This tunnel has overcome global shield tunneling construction difficulties such as full section hard plastic clay layers, and multiple technologies have reached international leading levels. It has also been awarded the honorary title of "National Green Demonstration Project in the Construction Industry".

The project has achieved functional requirements such as system operation monitoring, remote control, system parameter setting, and analysis of important circuit load trends by using the Elecnova-PMS power monitoring system from Jiangsu Elecnova Electric Co., Ltd. It has met many requirements for the safety, reliability, stability, practicality, openness, and other aspects of the power supply and distribution system.
